The Stats
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every
spiritual blessing in Christ.  For He chose us in Him before
the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His
sight.  In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons
through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and
will-to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely
given us in the One He loves.  In Him we have redemption
through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance
with the riches of God's grace that He lavished on us with all
wisdom and understanding.  And He made known to us the
mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He
purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will
have reached their fulfillment-to bring all things in heaven
and on earth together under one head, even Christ.

Jada-Grace, her story...
Jada-Grace was born on March 6, 2005 in Andong, Kyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea.  She
was in such a hurry to get here that she was delivered in the ambulance on her way to the
hospital.  Jada-Grace's birth mom was 22 years old and seperated from her husband.  As a
single mom she couldn't provide her with the life she wanted to, and she hoped for her to
have a better future with an adoptive family.  Jada-Grace has a half sister who was born in
2003.  Jada-Grace was admitted to ESWS's (Eastern Social Welfare Socitey) childrens'
hospital on March 7th with some minor medical conditions and later released on April 6th.
She was readmitted April 19th-April 26th for pneumonia and gastroenteritis.  After her stays
at the hospital she was released into the care of her foster family where she had a loving mom
and dad and two olders sisters who helped take care of her until she came home to us on
September 22, 2005.
Our story...
We are so excited to welcome Jada-Grace to her new family.  It has been a long journey that
seemed at times would never end but it did and she is finally here.  Through a lot of research
and even more prayer we made our decision to adopt through A.A.C., an agency located in
Colorado, in August of 2003.  After filling out our application we were placed on the adoption
waiting list for a little girl from South Korea on November 12, 2003.  We entered in at #47.
Then began the real paperwork, after beginning our Home Study with Bethany Christian
Services, whose local office to us is in Modesto, Ca.  It wasn't all that difficult, just detailed.
After several meetings with our social worker our Home Study was finally complete in March
of 2005.  Shortly thereafter we received our preliminary INS approval for an unidentified
orphan.  It really was a story of hurry up and wait.  And with all of our paperwork and
approvals complete we began to feel the wait.  Then...the phone rang.  On June 2nd around 9
O'clock in the morning A.A.C. called with our referral of little Jee Eun Shin, followed shortly
by an email of all her information including the above picture.  We were immediately in love.
We put the decision to prayer once again and the next morning we officially accepted our
referral.  At that point we were told it would take 4-5 months before her arrival.  The days
slowly passed as we awaited another phone call that would announce her travel dates. We
received one update from A.A.C. with pictures and a video of her when she was 4 mos.  This
made it all the more real because we could see her laugh and smile and roll over.  We could
hardly stand it, but we tried not to count the days.  Then on Thursday September 15th, 2005
at 6:14 pm  we received the call...they said she'd be flying out at the end of the next week.
We began to scramble as we had in our minds that she wouldn't be here until late October or
even November.  We had ourselves a very busy weekend attending to the last minute details
before her arrival.  On Tuesday September 20th at 6:44 am they called.  They said she'd be
arriving at San Francisco Airport on Thursday on Northwest Airlines flight #28 at 9:30am.
On Thursday September 22nd, 2005 Jada-Grace Waltrip arrived!  She was accompanied by
four Korean escorts and two other babies, 1 boy and 1 girl, that were continuing on to their
new families in Colorado.  Jada was met at the airport by her new Mommy and Daddy, her
two older brothers, Joey and Danny, and her older sister, Isabella.  Grammy and Papa
Brassfield and Grandma Tess Waltrip also were on the scene to meet their new
granddaughter.  It was a very exciting day for all of us and we are so thankful to the Lord for
His faithfulness and love for us.
Her name...
As we were pondering names in our spare time before her arrival we came up with some
winners and some losers.  But at the center of all of them dwelt either the name
Grace or
Faith
.  Not being able to find the perfect combination, we decided to wait until her referral to
see what her birth name would be.  Oddly enough we arrived at this decision on Wednesday
night June 1st...we received the referral the next morning.  Her given name was Jee Eun Shin
which means
Wise, Grace, Faith.  Coincidence you say...we don't think so.  We went to the
computer immediately and discovered that Jada means
Wise in Hebrew, thus...her name:
Jada-Grace JeeEun Waltrip.
