Merry Christmas Everyone! Once again I can't believe another year has passed. We are truly blessed in each one.
The kids are getting bigger and bigger. Joey is in the 4th grade this year in Mrs. Kitch's class. He likes his teacher very much and so do we. He is becoming a very responsible young man and doing very well in school. This year receiving all A's and one B on his report card. Yet, he still maintains his witty sense of humor, receiving the "JOYFUL SPIRIT" award in his class last quarter. We are very proud of him. He has also been quite the helper around the house adding emptying the dishwasher to his list of chores.
Speaking of helpers, Isabella received the "HELPFUL ATTITUDE" award last quarter in her 2nd grade class. And she is quite the helper, she even changes baby diapers! Isabella really likes school and also does well, receiving all "O's" for her last quarter grades. It is so much fun to see their personalities and talents develop. They both are thoughtful and sensitive kids and give us a lot to be proud of. One of our favorite things that they do is when they draw us pictures. Sometimes, just because and sometimes, if we are sick. They both made me wonderful "get well" cards everyday as I was recovering after my mouth surgery last January.
The kids continue to take piano lessons and we have tried something new this year. Last August both Joey and Isabella began Tae Kwon Do. They love it and so far have earned 2 stripes on their white belt. Danny really wants to take Tae Kwon Do too, but he has to be 4, so maybe after his January birthday we'll try it. He has learned to count a little in Korean because of watching the kids practice so much and he loves to "Hi-yah" and do the moves. Danny also began piano lessons, just 10 minutes a week along with the kids lessons. It's mostly just for fun but he is learning his keys. He is really getting to be a big boy, and boy is he busy. He keeps me entertained all day long. I am sure he will also get the "JOYFUL SPIRIT" award, aka. class clown, when he enters school. There is not a serious bone in his body, everything is a joke. It makes it difficult to reprimand him for anything because he makes us want to laugh.
As most of you know we have a new addition in our family this year. Jada-Grace Waltrip makes 4! God blessed us in September with the arrival of our little girl from South Korea. She is beautiful! And fitting right in I might add. She yells and bosses us around when she doesn't get her way. All kidding aside she is very sweet and good natured. The easiest baby so far. She'll be 10 months on 1/6/'06. She is crawling and pulls herself to a stand as of December 5th. The kids love her and argue constantly over who gets to hold her and feed her. Danny gives her lots of kisses and hugs and thinks "Baby Jada is cute" but otherwise he doesn't have much use for her yet. He currently is more concerned with playing Star Wars light sabers with Joey.
Sean and I are doing well. "But by the grace of God go I..." is our new life verse. We're as busy as ever but truly appreciative of God's blessings on our family. We love each other and our four beautiful, healthy children. What more could we ask for!
We hope you all are in good health and happy Christmas spirits. We miss our dear friends and family and hope to see some of you soon. Give our love and Christmas greetings to all your families.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Sean, Jillaine, Joey, Isabella, Danny, and Jada-Grace.
