Welcome...
...to the Waltrip Family Web Site.  This site is dedicated to the celebration of our family, particularly
our wonderful children.  We desired a better way to keep our friends and family in the loop and
hopefully create more reasons for us to stay in better touch with each other.  We hope you enjoy!
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.

Sean and Jillaine...
We met at a Bible Study on  Thursday July 29th, 1999.  Neither of us were looking for  a mate.  Jillaine
had been attending with her brother Brandon and his wife Angela for about 6 months.  It was Sean's
first night attending, he was brought along by some friends of his that were members of the church.  It
was
like at first sight.  Things were pretty slow moving and we were cautious at first but before we
knew it we had jumped in with both feet.  We were married less than a year later on June 18, 2000
(Father's Day).  Sean became a husband and a daddy all in one day!

Joseph Scott Harding
(8/3/'96) and Isabella Rose
Harding (8/12/'98) were the
2 cutie-pie kids that were
part of the package when
Sean married Jillaine.  Joey
was almost 3 and Isabella
almost 1 when we met.  It
really was the easiest of
transitions with the kids
being as young as they
were.  Sean took naturally
to his role as a Daddy and
we were all truly blessed.
Oh Danny Boy...
On January 13, 2002 our family was blessed with the birth of Daniel Theodore Waltrip.  Joey
and Isabella have been great big brothers and sisters from the very first visit in the hospital.  It
has also been a wonderful experience for Sean and Jillaine, getting to add one to the family that
is such a cute combination of them both.
(He gets his goofy sense of humor from his father!)
Wisdom, Grace, & Faith...
Were always among our top requests in our
prayers each night.  Little did we know that
God took us literally.  In the summer of 2003
we began the process of an international
adoption.  On September 22, 2005 God
answered our prayers in more than one way
and we brought home our beautiful little girl,
Jada-Grace Waltrip.

Fellowship...
Sean and I had been praying and looking for a more local church since the commute to
Calvary Chapel San Jose was a little far.  We had discussed our search in May of 2000 with
CCSJ Youth Pastor and friend Dave Johnston, half kiddingly suggesting that he start a church
in Santa Cruz.  He said at the time there were no such plans.  Less than 7 weeks later, at our
wedding rehearsal, Pastor Dave let us in on the plans for the first meeting of Calvary Chapel
Santa Cruz which would occur on the Sunday after we got back from our honeymoon.  We
have been fellowshipping there since its humble beginning, with less then 15 people in
attendance, in July 2000.  Attendance now tops 200 plus!  God
is in the business of answering
prayers!
